798 Art District Beijing is also called as Dashanzi Art District or 798 Art Zone, is the part of the Dashanzi located in the Chaoyang District of the Beijing city which houses an exciting artistic community, among the fifty year old military factory buildings of exclusive architectural style. 798 Art District Beijing is generally compared with the SoHo or Greenwich Village of New York.

This region is often called Factory 798 or 798 Art District, even though technically, the Factory #798 is the only one of the many structures within the complex previously known as the Joint Factory 718. This building is situated on the on Jiuxianqiáo Lù inside alleys number 2 and 4, south of the Dàshanziqiáo flyover.
